Nithya - Back on track

Life is full uf suprises. Some good and some bad. But if you analyse these fully, it is the bad that really stick to you so hard that you tend to talk about it, or at least think about it more often. Such was an incident in my life around 13 years back.

My dads younger brother passed away due to an undetected, or should i say rather lately detected cancer, which could have been cured if the proper diagnosis was done. This resulted in my Sithi, her son Mowly and daughter Nithya leaving to Canada for good. Its been 10 years since i had seen her. This week Nithya was back with us for a couple of days on a vacation home away from home. We had our memories flowing, tears rolling and laughter keeping the neighbours awake.

We had an evening out at the new joint Anjappar with Raji Athai n family where we talked about the place, cried having the soup, relished eating the meal and fished out for a spot for desert. Lastly we ended at The Carnival's Parlour to enjoy some Sundae's. I still regret not being able to devour a portion of the well known Anjappar Briyani..Damn!

Time flew fast, however Nithya is planning to be back in Sri Lanka for 2 days enroute to Canada. Hope to catch her then. Maybe we could patch life more than we would ever think of.

Time shall take its turn. After all - it is the best healer.
